We have started featuring our trainers, instructors, and staff at Momentum Fitness. Today we'd like to introduce you to Teckla Coerber, one of our group fitness instructors. Let's learn more about Teckla!

What classes do you teach?
I currently just teach BodyPump, but I love teaching barre, HIIT and step/toning classes. I have taught all kinds of fitness classes over the years and BodyPump is one of my favorite formats!
What do you love about group fitness?
I love getting to know people and creating a challenging, fun, and inspiring environment to work out in. I love group fitness because as a team you achieve goals together. It creates a fun atmosphere and a community of people who have a passion for fitness.
What is your best advice for anyone new to your class(es)?
My piece of advice for anyone new to my class(es) is to smile or I will call you out. Laugh at my bad jokes, and know that I am slightly sarcastic. 🙂
What is your best advice for your regulars?
My piece of advice to my regulars is don't let your mind stop you from what your body can do. Keep challenging yourself and try new things! Life is a journey!
Favorite exercises?
My favorite exercise is candlelight yoga in the evening.
What is your technique pet peeve?
My technique pet peeve is when people talk too much or are offbeat. So I try and stop myself from talking too much— or saying "good" or "nice" the whole time!
What's your favorite way to prepare for class?
My favorite way to prepare for class is to be in the music. I love listening to the music I'm going to use and getting pumped in my head to the beat.
