What are your core values?
It is important to periodically reflect on what your core values are: as an individual, as a partner, as a family member, as a friend, and as a business. Reflecting on those core values can help provide the compass we all need when making decisions that drive our days, and ultimately our lives.
James Clear, author of the New York Times best-seller Atomic Habits, has a great list of core values for you to browse here. Read over the list and let it inspire you to choose your own core values. Keep your list to less than five. As Clear advises:
If everything is a core value, then nothing is really a priority.
Write them down. Put them on a mood board. Take a look at them in the morning. Circle back to them when it's time to prioritize what matters most. It is common, particularly in these times, to feel pulled in every direction by forces beyond our control. When we take the time to ask ourselves, "Does this align with my core values?" we can bring more focus, meaning, and enjoyment to our daily lives. We can declutter our minds and schedules so that the things that mean the most to us take center stage.
Now we want to know yours! Write your core values on the dry erase boards in the main gym and studio, or sound off on Instagram or Facebook and tag us.
Les Mills Launch
It's time for some new Les Mills music and moves. Come join your Les Mills instructors as they roll out the newest releases of BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, and CORE (formerly known
as CXWORX). To celebrate the new program name of Les Mills CORE, our theme will be--you guessed it--core values.
Even if your core values don't include strength, health, progress, growth, adventure, determination, stability, or challenge, we're covering all those bases and more!
Join us for the Les Mills launch on Saturday, April 17. If you cannot attend the official launch classes Saturday, fret not! All Les Mills classes for two weeks following launch will feature the new releases.
Evening/Weekend Group Fitness Survey, Part 2
We emailed some of you in February asking for input on our evening and weekend group fitness schedule, and now we're back for more. If you have attended night/weekend classes in the past few months, please check your email for a very short second survey. This email may have been routed to your spam, or if you're a Gmail user, something other than your primary inbox. Look for an email from sender riversidefitness@em1.gleantap.com.
We cannot accommodate everyone's desires, but we are always trying to do the best for as many of you as possible. Thank you for letting us serve you!
